Nick was originally trained as a scientist studying models of how brain cells interact and behave. He has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as Physical Review Letters and Cell. After switching to data science, he has worked in various industries such as finance, robotics, healthcare, and technology. He has studied a wide variety of model algorithms and their implementation.

Since working in data science, he has consistently made impacts in many different organizations, such as Humana and, recently, Meta (Facebook). His work now continues at Health Cost IQ, where he develops and implements cutting-edge predictive models and algorithms for predicting future risk, cost, illness burden, and more.
